Society Picnic
The society picnic is an event coordinated by the DOSAC and DOSR of the Speed School Student Council. It's purpose is to promote the societies of the engineering disciplines and to encourage involvement in them. Free food, usually burgers and hot dogs, is used as an enticement to bring students out, and then the rest of the persuasion is done by the societies. Usually there are booths set up near the food in which each society has examples of what they do and sign up sheets for more information. It is a good event for students to come and learn about what their engineering discipline has to offer and fill their bellies!
