UofL Signature Partnerships - Dr. Henry Cunningham:

  • Dr. Cunningham detailed the Signature Partnership initiatives, and the role of Engineering in them.

  • Signature Partnerships seek to combat poverty in the state, West Louisville in particular, and generally better the Community.

  • Western Middle School Mentoring program.
    • UofL Students visit the school, befriending the students, and also bring the students back to Campus to show them the University.
    • Student Council has been asked to host a group of students on November 30th and show them Engineering.

  • AP&P Meeting was today.
    • Looking at Security Clearance for projects and other security measures in labs.
  • Looking at Wing Zone for the next Cheap Lunch.

  • Matt discussed a possible new Student Health building to provide better care for UofL Students.
  • The current controversy is the location of Student Health Services, either on Belknap Campus or near Central Avenue.
  • Please contact Matt if you have further opinions on the issue.

President - Dick Jones:

  • NAESC Regional Conference is next weekend - Excuses have been prepared by Dean Day.
    • There is one spot left open for the trip.
  • Speed Alumni and SSSC are looking at getting a Speed School specific Class Ring.

  • Dr. Henry Cunningham is seeking SSSC assistance with hosting a group of Middle School Students as part of UofL Signature Partnerships.
    • Speficially looking for facilities to show. Please contact Dick if you're able to help!

Vice President - Adam Pfendt:

  • Corporate Expo will be held the Friday of E-Expo during the day, in conjunction with other events.

  • Working on E-Expo logistics. Trying to get more exhibits back! (IE Exhibit, etc...)
