- Martin Dombi motioned to open floor for discussion of co-operation with Triangle for Speed Olympics. Motion passed.
- Triangle rep discussed ideas for co-operative effort for speed Olympics, cheap lunch over the summer.
- Vegetarian options should be included.
- Obstacle course, other carnival type attractions for the event.
- Joint committee of SSSC and Triangle would be formed to plan event.
- Vote for formation of joint committee. Vote passed. Committee will be formed.
- Motion to discuss e-book option for course text books. Motion carries.
- e-books would replace printed text. Projected cost $25. Physical copy still available for purchase.
- Students would be required to purchase the ebook. School must guarantee volume.
- E-books would be DRM'd to lock onto only one computer. The book would likely expire after semester ended.
- What is the time-frame?
- Have they considered open book tests/computers open for tests?
- What happens when tablet is out for maintenance. You are without your textbook.

Fridge, PA System, Promotional Items - Pens, Foam Blocks, Table Runners, and Candy, Folding Tables, and Microwave

- I have already had E-Expo meeting with Allie and Lauren. I will be meeting with all of the other directors in the coming weeks to get the task list for E-Expo finalized.
- A version of the slide show that will be shown at orientation sessions has been finished. It will be posted on Council's home page if you are interested in looking at it.

- Presented students opinions on E-Books to Dean and department chairs. They agreed that the technology/availability was not up to our needs yet so will not make any commitments now, but will keep looking for options in the future.
- Working to get the end of fiscal year budget surplus allocated with Cristina Heisler
- In the near future, we will be creating a committee for partnering with Triangle on the Speed Olympics. Be on the lookout for more information on this.

- The NAESC Website Committee meeting will be held today at 5:30 PM in the conference room.

- Dr. Willing was injured in an accident last week. He has been released from the hospital.
- Won't be back at school for a while. We are discussing a group visit at his home.
- Discussion on collecting money to send a get well card for Dr. Willing. Donations to Lauren Speaker.
- We will discuss society standing during New Business. Possibly clean slate for many societies.
- Council has reps on many Speed School committees. Some of these positions are available, an email about openings and descriptions will be out soon.

- Discussion of change to society standing. We are considering opening up good standing to all committees who make an effort to show up during trial period.
- Some societies have complained that it is too difficult to regain good standing.
- This can strongly affect quorum in the fall. Therefore we will only open it up to societies who show good faith.
- Societies will be required to attend the remaining General Business Meetings this semester.
- Also, societies will be required to attend 5 of 10 Freshman game nights during orientation.

- Freshman council has now officially disbanded. I'd like to thank everyone for a great year and I look forward to working with the new freshmen in the fall :)

- We will be visiting Bellarmine's GSP next Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 pm. We will show a Power Point and talk about engineering. We need at least one person from each discipline, and more volunteers are welcome. Contact me if you would like to attend.

- Downs After Dark on Friday June 25th, $10 dollars gen. admission plus whatever you want to bet. Gates open at 4, first race is at 6, we plan to meet at 5:30 in the council office to go over. Come out it should be a lot of fun!!
- Speed Olympics date is TENTATIVELY set for Thursday July 15th. We plan to have water themed competitions/games and stuff for people to enjoy as well as an inflatable obstacle course and obviously Food, but of course this all tentative and could change.
