Louisville SAE Teams

FSAE
Formula SAE is an international collegiate design series where teams are to design, fabricate, test and compete a open wheel race car similar to Indy Cars or Formula 1 race cars.  The concept behind Formula SAE is that teams are designing a prototype race car for the weekend racer that will eventually be built at 1000 units per year.  Competitions are held around the world, but the U.S. holds two competitions; one in Michigan and one in California.  Teams are judged on design, vehicle cost, a business presentation to a mock panel of investors, acceleration, skid pad, auto-x and endurance.  The UofL team competes at Michigan against 120 other teams from around the world.

UofL's FSAE team meets on Monday nights in the basement of Sackett Hall at 7:30 pm.  For more information contact us uoflformulasae@gmail.com.  More information on Formula SAE is also available at http://students.sae.org/competitions/formulaseries/fsae/ and http://fstotal.com/.
